Hi, I’m Lydia, an illustrator, surface pattern designer and graphic designer based in the Netherlands.

I love creating colourful, expressive work with a playful and slightly whimsical edge. From illustrations and repeating patterns to branding and print design, I’m happiest when I can combine colour, character and storytelling.

My background is in graphic design and DTP, with many years of experience creating visual communication for both print and digital media. Over time, illustration and surface pattern design have become an increasingly important part of my work.

When I’m not designing, you’ll usually find me travelling, taking photographs or looking for inspiration in nature, colour and everyday details.
